What made you decide to open your own business?
I saw an opportunity to do business differently within the pool industry. Having integrity is important to me so getting my license became imperative to have more control over the end result of a project. I also wanted to create a business where women could have a flexible work environment and still be available to their families.
How do you help your clients during the design process?
Listening to our clients and designing what they have envisioned is our number one priority. We typically do several designs so they can pick and choose the features they like best. Knowledge is power; therefore we feel it is important to educate and inform them on what is available so they can make decisions that best fit their budget. We are always mindful of our client’s budgets and we also don’t want them to have regrets for what they wished they’d included. We offer guidance based on over 30 years of experience in the pool industry.
What has been the turning point in your career to date?
To the best of my knowledge I was the first licensed female pool contractor in the valley. The defining turning point was acknowledgment from my peers in the form of awards for design and construction.
